Vicki Meek examines how wealth, philanthropy, and private art collections influence which art and culture the public gets to see. Drawing on her decades in Dallas arts administration and her ongoing work in cultural equity, she addresses questions of access, funding, and who gets to decide what counts as culture worth supporting.

Vicki Meek

Vicki Meek is a multimedia artist and arts administrator who managed the South Dallas Cultural Center for nearly 20 years, taught Cultural Equity in the Arts for UMass Arts Extension Program, and currently serves on Dallas's Arts and Culture Commission and Public Art Committee.
