The result is a voice that can fill a hall without amplification, carry over an orchestra, and convey emotion through pure acoustic power. This talk examines what sets opera apart as a vocal and dramatic form, and why the human voice, when trained this way, sounds like nothing else.

Corey Trahan
Dr. Corey Trahan is Director of TCU Opera Studio and chair of music at Texas Christian University. He directs fully staged operatic productions and appears as a professional tenor, including recent performances with Fort Worth Opera. TCU Opera Studio has received national recognition including first and third-place prizes from Opera America.
